The Ledge
The pool that ends in sky. A vanishing edge tuned to the exact fall of your horizon — surveyed twice, argued over once.
11.0 × 4.5 M · 68 M³ · Honed travertine · Edge fall 22 mm

Sheet 00 · Arrival — Custom pools, designed & built
Custom pools, designed and built by one studio — from the first pencil line to the first swim.
EL. +0.45 M — Deck level
Cove & Stone is a design-build studio for custom pools. We take on twenty-two commissions a year — never more, never two alike — and carry each one from survey to handover with the same eight hands. The drawings are how we think. The water is how it ends.
Est. 2009 · Sarasota, Florida · 212 pools drawn, dug & delivered
Every commission begins as one of four forms. Where it ends is up to your site, your light, and your appetite.
The pool that ends in sky. A vanishing edge tuned to the exact fall of your horizon — surveyed twice, argued over once.
11.0 × 4.5 M · 68 M³ · Honed travertine · Edge fall 22 mm

Built the way the shoreline would have done it. Boulders set by crane and by eye, and a beach entry your kids will claim as theirs.
Freeform · 52 M³ · Limestone boulders · Beach entry 1:8
Twenty-five metres of discipline. One lane, one direction, water like a drawn line down the middle of your morning.
25.0 × 2.8 M · 94 M³ · Pebble plaster · Constant depth 1.35 M

Small water, all ceremony. A carved plunge held at thirty-eight degrees, for cold mornings and slow nights.
3.2 × 3.2 M · 12 M³ · Carved limestone · 38°C
01 · Design & engineering
Survey, soils, sun path. The section is drawn before the ground knows anything.
02 · Excavation
Three days of dust. The hole is the first honest version of the pool.
03 · Shell & steel
Steel tied by hand, concrete shot dense enough to outlive the house.
04 · Stone & tile
Coping set stone by stone; a waterline you'll never notice and always feel.
05 · Water & balance
Sixty-eight thousand litres, balanced to the decimal. The mirror arrives.
06 · Handover
We swim it before you do. Then the keys, the manual, and the first cannonball are yours.
Daylight sells pools. Night is when they earn their keep — lit from inside, throwing slow light on the walls of the house. Three from the last two seasons.
Fig. 05 — Coping course, Siena travertine, set by hand
Cove & Stone began as an argument between a mason and an architect — about whether a pool is built or drawn. Seventeen years on, the answer is still both, and the studio is still small on purpose: two designers, two builders, and the same crew of masons since 2011.
We don't subcontract the parts people feel. Stone, tile, and the waterline itself stay in our hands, every commission, no exceptions.
Travertine — Siena
Glass mosaic — Murano
Bronze — sand-cast
Plaster — Madreperla pebble
No mystery line items, no "call for pricing." Here is exactly how a commission gets funded.
Standard draw schedule — every commission

Draws follow milestones. Never dates.
If you're borrowing
